Foz do Douro

Foz do Douro is where the River Douro meets the Atlantic Ocean. The boat tour that follows the river all the way to the sea, pavement cafés and parks you'll find at the other end takes in all of the beautiful scenery this area has to offer. If you're keen on nightlife, don't miss the various discos and bars either. The Forte de São João Baptista and Igreja Matriz are definitely worth a trip for anyone visiting Oporto. The Porto Antigo and Porto dos Castelos tours are a great way of getting to Foz do Douro.
