Avenida Central

Avenida Central is the centre of the city of Braga. This is where you can feel the pulse and energy of the city surrounded by numerous historical buildings, not least of which are the Arcada, the Igreja dos Congregados, the Torre de Menagem and the Banco de Portugal. From the avenue stretches a magnificent park full of colours, outdoor cafés and leisure areas, with particular note for the traditional cafés of the Arcada. In Avenida Central you'll also find a dancing fountain, where, in the evening, you can enjoy light and sound shows.
